Anika Gingle is one of two recent UW-Milwaukee graduates who created a 3D model showcasing the School of Architecture & Urban Planning’s impact on Milwaukee’s built environment. The 8-by-12-foot model of downtown Milwaukee is on display in the advising office of the Architecture & Urban Planning Building. Gingle and fellow graduate Aime Rabadan began the project in fall 2023, each dedicating more than 500 hours over the next two years. They studied city maps and photographs, created detailed digital models of individual buildings and printed each structure using a 3D printer. The completed model features nearly 400 buildings. During her time at UWM, Gingle worked in the school’s rapid prototyping lab. Following graduation, she was hired as a design coordinator at HGA.
