Title IX is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex or gender.

Sex discrimination includes sexual harassment, sexual violence, and any other sex-based misconduct, relationship violence, discrimination based on pregnancy, and the failure to provide equal opportunity in all areas of schooling such as admissions, educational programs or activities, and athletics.

Filing a Complaint

Information on how to file a complaint (including options on how to make an anonymous or confidential report) under Title IX is available on the Title IX website. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact UWM’s Title IX Coordinator or one of UWM’s Deputy Title IX Coordinators.
