UWM Announces Plans to Close Washington County Campus
Following a directive from the Universities of Wisconsin, UWM will close the UWM at Washington County campus, with a goal of completing the process by June 30, 2024.

UW System Announces COVID-19 Student Healthcare Worker Tuition Refund

The UW System has announced additional details on incentives for UW students in health care to work on the front lines of WI’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Details include qualifying criteria, deadlines, and how to apply can be found here.The eligibility requirements include:

  • Enrolled at a University of Wisconsin campus during the Spring 2021 semester.
  • Work a minimum of 50 hours in a Wisconsin clinical or health care setting, such as a hospital, clinic, nursing home, long-term care facility between December 1, 2020, and February 1, 2021.
  • Meet health care licensure and certification requirements, such as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (CEMT), or Nurses Aid.
  • Students who also qualify as a CNA under the emergency rule currently in place can participate as well.
