In 2008, Shari joined UWM as the Program Manager of the Early Childhood Department in the School of Continuing Education. Within a few years, she assumed the role of Director role joined the SCE Leadership team. Her professional journey has come full circle upon joining the UWM Children’s Learning Center as their Associate Director. Shari feels privileged to serve children and families, and to guide and mentor other early childhood and administrative staff and professionals.

Shari has been immersed in the Early Care and Education field since 1992. She entered the field as a childcare director, moving into a regional teacher/management trainer role for a national childcare company. She has also worked as a quality improvement consultant and NAEYC accreditation advisor for Milwaukee area centers as part of a grant-funded initiative, and as a business manager of a multi-site non-profit childcare agency.
