Benjamin Trager

Director of Community-Based Learning
Center for Community-Based Learning, Leadership, and Research

Ben is not only the Director of Community-Based Learning, but he is also a student in the Urban Education doctoral program at UW-Milwaukee. Ben has a professional background in management and training, and he is eager to learn more about the Milwaukee community and the organizations that support it. Ben is interested in experiential learning and he cares deeply about access to quality education, specifically in an urban context. At the CCBLLR, Ben oversees the campuses service learning portfolio of over 1,500 students each semester in 60+ course, and manages the Community Leaders Internship Program (CLIP), which provides community-based work opportunities for students. He’ll also support the logistics of all service opportunities coordinated by the office. In his spare time Ben enjoys open water swimming, exploring music, and vegetarian cooking.
