Arica Halverson was hired as an academic advisor for the Milwaukee Athletic Department in November of 2019.

Originally from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Halverson comes back to Milwaukee after earning her Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Student Affairs from the University of Missouri. While with the Tigers, she worked as a Student-Athlete Development Graduate Assistant, coordinating community partnerships and student-athlete’s community service, facilitating the application process for honors, awards and scholarships, and assisting in the development and implementation of student-athlete developmental programing. Halverson also worked in academic services as an Advising Intern, meeting weekly with student-athletes to help them stay on track with their academic goals.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she was a four-year swimmer for the Panthers, earning Horizon League runner-up honors three different times as a member of the 200 freestyle relay team. She turned in 11 top-3 finishes as a senior, including five victories. A member of the Horizon League Fall & Spring Academic Honor Roll, she was also heavily involved in the Milwaukee SAAC program, serving as a Horizon League official for two years and as the SAAC President her final year on campus.
