Michael Matthias has been Senior Counselor at Norris Heath Center since 2008. Born and raised in the Milwaukee area Michael has both a BSW and MSW from UW-Milwaukee, Helen Bader School of Social Welfare. In the 25+ years since completing his training Michael has worked with a diverse population, from young adults to the elderly. Specific areas of clinical interest include working with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, adjustment and transition struggles, identity issues and the impact of drug and alcohol abuse or dependence. Michael also likes to work with athletes and incorporates exercise/fitness as an intervention to help promote balance and a healthy physical and emotional lifestyle.
