Jessica Kumke was hired in October 2013. In the spring of 2018, she was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Enrollment Services.

She oversees NCAA and Horizon League compliance for all 15 sports. This includes monitoring recruiting activities for all coaches and staff, certifying eligibility for all student-athletes and educating student-athletes, coaches, staff, faculty and boosters about NCAA rules.

Prior to coming to Milwaukee, Kumke worked for five years as the Director of Compliance at the University of Wyoming. Kumke received her law degree from Marquette University Law School in May 2008, along with a Sports Law Certification from the National Sports Law Institute.

As part of the Sports Law Certificate, Kumke interned with the UWM Compliance Office in Fall 2007. Kumke received her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2005.

Kumke grew up in Nebraska and her parents, brother and sister-in-law still live in Nebraska.
