There are a number of ways UWM faculty and staff can engage with our 2025 campaign.
Donate – Every dollar and donation counts
Get your co-workers to donate – Whether as a formal coordinator for your unit, or just as a champion for the campaign, connecting with co-workers you know to pitch helps make the campaign successful.
Setup a special event – A great way to get your co-workers or others in your campus building engaged in the campaign is to setup a special event. This could be as simple as a penny war or a bake sale, raising additional funds that can be added to the campaign totals.
If your school, college or department is having an event, or if you’d like to get more involved in the campaign, please email details to kjoc@uwm.edu.
Check out some fun ideas from past years that have helped raise money for the SECC campaign!
- The College Of Nursing has sponsored a Cake/Pie Walk and a Fruit and Veggie Walk to engage staff and raise money.
- Departments have also used potluck lunches or afternoon dessert gatherings as a way to raise money. A suggested donation of $5 is common.
- Bake sales in building lobbies – often involving multiple departments – engages all of the foot traffic in your building in the campaign
- The United Way Volunteer Hub has more information on special events.
