Student working with a young girl on speech

In the UW-Milwaukee Stuttering and Fluency Laboratory our current research is the Childhood Stuttering Evaluation Project.

The goal of the project is to understand the nature of stuttering in young children, by documenting its episodic occurrence, discovering risk factors, and understanding how it recovers or develops in different ways. Children who participate in the project receive a free comprehensive speech-language evaluation and consultation with a fluency specialist, as well as free follow-up evaluations for up to three years.
