UWM Writing Center — Open for Spring 2021

Our friendly and experienced tutors talk or text with writers in real time, one-on-one, and confidentially, about whatever they are writing, wherever they are in their process including the brainstorming or reading stage.  In addition to academic projects, tutors can assist with personal documents, too,  e.g., resumes, c.v.’s, cover letters, and applications of all sorts—free of charge.

Cudahy Health Department — COVID-19 Vaccinator
COVID-19 Vaccinators will be responsible for administering the COVID-19 vaccine and may be involved in the supply management of the vaccine preparation. Vaccinators may also be assisting with other clinical roles as needed, such as registration, screening, and observation. Additionally, COVID-19 Vaccinators will respond to emergency situations and follow emergency management protocols in the event of an adverse vaccine reaction.

Institute for Child and Family Well-being Research Assistant
This position will support research activities at the Institute for Child and Family Well-being (ICFW). Housed within the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, ICFW faculty and researchers have a broad portfolio of projects related to topics such as trauma, resilience, maternal and child health, early childhood interventions, child welfare, criminal justice, and workforce development. The research assistant will assist ICFW staff with research and evaluation activities, including quantitative and qualitative data collection, coding, and analysis.

Neighborhood Safety Coordinator — Safe & Sound
The Neighborhood Safety Coordinator (N ) serves as a liaison between City of Milwaukee residents living in the assigned Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) districts and various law enforcement, other government agencies, and the Assistant District Attorneys serving as Community Prosecutors in these neighborhoods. The NSC works with Safe & Sound staff, the Community Prosecutors, the MPD and community-based organizations planning and coordinating community forums, landlord meetings, block watch meetings and community collaborations that orient residents, families and businesses on the nuisance abatement process.

Development Associate — Safe & Sound
Under the direction of the Development Director, the Development Associate is responsible for donor database management and maintenance (eTapestry), development administration, social media strategy and implementation, small meeting and event coordination, and major event administrative support. The development associate collaborates with the Development and PR Manager and the Development and Events Manager to meet fundraising goals and increase community engagement. The Development Associate will also be responsible for a small portfolio of grants.
