ZSPH Updates

CEPH Accreditation Announcement

The UWM Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health is in its re-accreditation review cycle by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). We will submit a final report on Jan. 14, 2022, and the Council will conduct its site visit on Feb. 14-16, 2022. 

CEPH is currently accepting third party comments. Written comments will be accepted until 30 days before the site visit. These comments, which go directly to the Council on Education for Public Health, may address the school’s programs, procedures, operations, quality, or activities. All written comments must be submitted by Jan. 14, 2022. Comments may be sent via email to submissions@ceph.org. You may also  send your written comments by mail to:

Prevention Specialist | Vivent Health | Multiple Locations

The Prevention Specialist is responsible for providing anonymous and confidential counseling and testing with high-risk individuals for HIV, Hepatitis C (HCV), syphilis and other sexually transmitted infections (STI), where applicable. In addition, this position will provide prevention education services, needle exchange and outreach to individuals engaging in high-risk behaviors such as men who have sex with men (MSM) and people who inject drugs (PWID).

This Prevention Specialist position is responsible for providing the full array of Prevention Services, with a focus on PWID. For other Prevention Specialist positions, visit here

PrEP Navigator | Vivent Health | Milwaukee, WI

The Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Navigator provides intensive care coordination, support and services to HIV negative individuals who require assistance in accessing and remaining in PrEP care. This individual will coordinate with the Prevention team to initiate access to PrEP care and the Medical and Pharmacy teams to provide assistance to existing PrEP patients.

This individual will implement a client-centered approach with individuals throughout the state of Wisconsin, with a targeted focus on those utilizing Vivent Health PrEP clinics. This position will assist PrEP clients with services such as, but not limited to, health insurance enrollment, PrEP provider identification, appointment scheduling, management of clinical costs, appointment reminders, education on the benefits of PrEP and ongoing maintenance.

This position will work to empower clients, with a targeted focus on men who have sex with men of color (MSMOC), women of color, and transgender women, to navigate medical and social systems on their own. This position will have a heavy focus on Community Outreach and Education surrounding PrEP.
