  • Senior, English major

I am honored to be inducted into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. I started my journey at UWM three years ago, right in the middle of the pandemic. Coming in, I thought about studying history, education, or marine biology, but ultimately settled on creative writing and German. I have done my best to work outside of my comfort zone and hone my writing skills, creating thoughtful, personal, and well-articulated pieces of writing in a variety of classes. Throughout my years at UWM, I have found fulfilling experiences working on campus at the Writing Center and American Geographical Society Library, as well as interning off campus at Porchlight Book Company. I have also been honored by being inducted into Delta Phi Alpha, the National German Honor Society, in 2023. Over the past three years, I’ve fallen in love with Milwaukee and plan on living and working here after graduation.

UWM Land Acknowledgement: We acknowledge in Milwaukee that we are on traditional Potawatomi, Ho-Chunk and Menominee homeland along the southwest shores of Michigami, North America’s largest system of freshwater lakes, where the Milwaukee, Menominee and Kinnickinnic rivers meet and the people of Wisconsin’s sovereign Anishinaabe, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Oneida and Mohican nations remain present.   |   To learn more, visit the Electa Quinney Institute website.
