Mary K. Brown

I am honored to receive an invitation to join UWM's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. It is exciting to think that I will join the ranks of many intelligent and promising young people hoping to work to further this country and make an impact in the world. I am a junior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Spanish. The staff for both departments have been very helpful and supportive for me reaching my goals to better my education and eventually become a Counselor for children and adolescents. The honors department has also been amazing, the classes and teachers are absolutely incredible and they have helped me to be not only a better thinker and learner, but also a better and more cultured thinker. I am a student leader in Cru and am passionate about guiding and helping people to the best of my ability so I hope that this is another opportunity for me to grow as a student and as a leader. I am grateful and honored for all the opportunities UWM has provided for me and I know that I made the right choice to make Milwaukee my home and UWM my school.
