Ryan Jay Ammerman

It is an incredible honor to be invited to join Phi Beta Kappa. I have been at UWM for two years now, and am currently studying Linguistics, Spanish and Portuguese. It has always been a passion of mine to study languages, and my time at UWM has provided me with many opportunties to explore my interests. My goals for the future are to travel as much as I can and teach English or other langauges to non-native speakers. I would like to thank my family for helping to guide me throughout my college journey, and my friends who continue to inspire me to be the best person I can be. I would also like to thank my Portuguese professor, Susana Maria Antunes, who was one of the first people I spoke to at UWM, and who has guided and provided me with many incredible opportunities both regarding language studies and skills for the future.
