Network Maintenance – 1st floor of Klotsche Center – March 19, 2024 6:00AM CDT

To maintain stable network access some network switching equipment serving parts of the 1st floor of the Klotche Center require operating system and firmware updates. This work includes reboots of switch hardware, a process that will interrupt network access in some areas of the building while it occurs. It is anticipated this interruption should last less than 30 minutes, but the maintenance window is scoped slightly longer to deal with any unexpected issues.

Computers and devices connected to the switching equipment being worked on will lose network access during the reboot process. This includes both wifi and ethernet connected computers and other devices in the areas serviced by this network infrastructure. The access interruption should not affect the entire building or any other parts of campus.

Some devices may need to reboot to reconnect to the network after this maintenance window is complete, but this is rare.
