Peace Education offers the opportunity to examine core issues of conflict analysis, non-violent action, violence prevention, warism, conflict transformation, and peace-building. Democracy, negotiation, strength, dialogue, and personal and systemic change and transformation are all integral to peace education. In this course, we will examine facts and perspectives left out of dominant media, critically analyze dominant paradigms, study peace educators’ and their philosophies, apply principles of peace education, imagine alternatives, and discuss change strategies to create peace.
