SPA 103 is a course for students with little to no experience learning or speaking Spanish. The course focuses on developing students’ abilities to speak, listen, read, and write in Spanish, with the end goal of being able to hold a 10-minute conversation with your instructor by the end of the course. Class time focuses on learning and using new vocabulary, understanding grammar structures, and discussing the cultural diversity of the Spanish-speaking world. Learning a new language, like learning any skill, requires time and practice, which is why our Spanish classes are taught in Spanish. We want to immerse our students in the language so that they can learn and improve their skills as efficiently as possible!
