Let’s Speak Portuguese – A Language Spoken in Brazil, Portugal and Several African Countries!
Portuguese 110 is an accelerated summer course for students with little or no previous knowledge of Portuguese. Students will develop an intermediate level proficiency (according to the guidelines developed by ACTFL – American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) in listening, speaking, reading, and written. This course follows a communicative approach through the learning process, using great tools to make Portuguese interaction possible. Moreover, students will be crossing boundaries, exploring the culture of the Lusophone World, and developing sensitivity to the cultures of Portuguese-speaking countries. At the end of the course, students will have acquired abilities to pursue the 3rd semester of Portuguese in the Fall 2024.
