LEC Film Series: The Social Network

April 15 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
We can explore innovation in many ways—from talks, from doing, from listening. This time, we’re exploring it through film.
At our screening of The Social Network, we’ll dive into what it really means to move fast on an idea and why timing can make all the difference. The famous line “lawyer up” is a reminder that entrepreneurship isn’t just about building something exciting, but also about understanding who owns an idea and how to protect it. Through the screening, we’ll explore how ambition, competition, and tough decisions shape the path from idea to reality.
The Lubar Entrepreneurship Center, in partnership with UWM Union Cinema, is proud to premiere a new film series that examines innovation and entrepreneurship on screen. Through powerful stories and memorable characters, these films highlight the extraordinary ways ideas take shape and how creativity, risk-taking, and determination have inspired, challenged, and motivated people to do better and think bigger.
Join us this spring as we watch, reflect, and reimagine what innovation can look like.
