Elise White won the Melvin and Lois Lurie Student Prize. She described how her undergraduate class in industrial psychology piqued her interest in helping create a fair and supportive workplace that fosters employee well-being. She found MHRLR to be the perfect match for her aspirations. She loved the certificate in Mediation and Negotiation and gained skills and perspective from work with the Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire. Elise explained that she gained confidence over her time in the program and came to realize that all can grow by sharing their varying perspectives. An internship with Johnson Controls (thanks to alum Jon Evert) resulted in a permanent HR generalist position with Johnson Controls, which she calls a large company with great values.
