We are excited to announce that UWM will be hosting Principles of Supervision and Management! A Fall 2025 Cohort will be open only to UWM managers and supervisors, with costs covered through funding by university leadership (no costs from departments).
Principles of Supervision and Management (PSM) is an 11-week course for Universities of Wisconsin managers and supervisors to develop and strengthen supervisory skills such as conflict management, onboarding, and managing employee transitions.
Throughout this course you will learn and practice skills to create and maintain a healthy, inclusive, and engaging work environment for employees.

- Enhance leadership skills to be more effective in your role
- Learn about resources and policies on campus to support supervisors and employees
- Practice navigating scenarios and build a network of manager and supervisor colleagues across UWM
Course Details
Dates and Times:
Mondays, September 15 through December 1, 2025.
Most classes will be held via Zoom from 12:30 P.M. – 4:30 P.M.
Please Note the Following Special Dates:
- September 15th class will be held in-person at the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center from 10:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M.
- There will be no class on November 24th.
- December 1st class will be held in-person at the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center from 12:30 P.M. – 4:30 P.M.
