As dean of the College of Health Professions and Sciences, I welcome each of you to explore our Schools of Biomedical Sciences & Health Care Administration, Nursing, and Rehabilitation Science & Technology. You will find strong academic programs, taught by outstanding faculty, in nursing, sustainable peacebuilding, physical and occupational therapy, athletic training, communication sciences and disorders, biomedical sciences, diagnostic imaging and health care administration. Strong staff and a team of academic advisors are ready to help you learn more.

You will find researchers working on significant health and wellness issues facing children, adults and the elderly, including obesity, sports injury, smoking, infant mortality, wound care, self-care and pain. You will find cancer researchers, communication specialists and those working in the area of sports psychology. You will find researchers working with vulnerable populations who have experienced trauma, and you will find researchers working on issues of access and accessibility. These researchers invite students to join them in discovering new science.

The College of Health Professions and Sciences has students deeply engaged in the community, both at clinical sites and in community organizations. Diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice guide our view in education, in research and in community engagement.

We would love to show you just how much CHPS and our faculty and staff have to offer.

Sincerely,
Kim Litwack, PhD, RN, FAAN, APNP
