Bio

Medalia Santos is a passionate and hardworking Design and Visual Communication major at UW-Milwaukee. She grew up in Milwaukee, where as a child she always had an eye for design and a love for colors. Though it was not until her senior year of high school, where she discovered her love for design. She remembers discovering that design is everywhere, from logos, posters, packaging, book covers, album covers and so much more. Making her realize that the possibilities are endless when it comes to design. After graduating high school, she decided to pursue a higher education that would lead her to a career in Graphic Design. Through her journey so far, she has been blessed to work and collaborate with such amazing, supportive, and creative professors and classmates. That supportive and creative environment has helped her grow into the designer that’s he is today. When she enters the design world after college, she hopes to captivate and inspire people with her designs.

Description

We live in a world that revolves around technology. Even the lives of our children are getting consumed with technology at an even younger age now.  Little kids are constantly playing on their parents phones, homework is needing to be completed online, kids are getting sucked into social media and video games. With all this technology, children are going outside less and less. The downside to this is children are not getting the opportunity to be nourished by the environment. By using the app ThrivGuide, it provides a place for parents, legal guardians and nannies to find easy, fun, affordable, and daily activities for their children to do outside their home. This allows their children to take a break from screens and being indoors and be able to improve their creativity, happiness, brain development, physical health, and academic success. Ensuring positive growth and healthier living in their children.

Mission

Thriv Guide’s mission is to help children grow up happier and healthier in a fun and interactive way, through the use of accessible outside spaces.

Vision

Thriv Guide’s vision is to offer endless possibilities of affordable and fun, creative, interactive, daily activities to do outside, to help children engage with the environment.
