Bio

Marissa is a senior at UWM pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Design & Visual Communications and will be graduating in the Fall of 2021. She grew up in Oostburg, Wisconsin and moved to Milwaukee about 2 years ago. She’s always known that she enjoys being creative and crafty but didn’t realize how much she loved it until she moved to Milwaukee. Marissa enjoys typography, illustrating, and painting. She likes to use Adobe Illustrator’s shapes, brushes, and other tools to create illustrations. Marissa is mostly interested in Advertising and Marketing. When she isn’t busy with school, you can find her hanging out with friends or playing piano.

Description

Koin is an app that can allow millennials to achieve financial security. The app allows millennials to compete in financial trivia games against friends and earn koins. By saving koins, users can earn gift cards and other rewards. Koin offers different learning courses for each financial topic such as investments, credit, personal finance, mortgage, and other locked levels. Users can also post their advice and real-life experiences to provide financial tips and tricks for other users. The purpose is to create a fun way to learn about financial literacy without relying on higher education.

Koin’s mission is to educate individuals about personal finance and create better financial habits.

Koin’s vision is to create an equal and fun opportunity for individuals to learn more about finances.
