Bio

Kirsten Engen is currently a student at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee studying to become a Graphic Designer. Within in a year Kirsten will be graduating as a Design and Visual Communications major. She is highly skilled in computer programs including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and plans on taking these skills to the next level, the professional field. Kirsten considers herself a people person but is willing to strengthen her communication skills into a more professional form. With her ability to stay organized she tends to take the leadership when needed. With her strengths in time management, self-motivation, organization and conceptual thinking she is hoping her transition from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to the professional field will be easier. As she continuous to take classes, she plans on bettering herself so she can become a strong and more confident designer.

Description

Boom is a fitness tracker that focuses specifically on young children grades kindergarten through 3rd grade. Boom tracks the children’s activity level each day. To make this fun, Boom incorporates a monkey named Boom as a way to provide companionship to the users so they feel as if they have a buddy at all times. The more active the user is the more intense Boom’s actives will be. From Boom walking to multiple back flips making it a competitive and goal setting activity each day while enforcing healthy habits.
