Bio
Born in Decatur, Illinois, Kanika came to Milwaukee when she started college in the fall of 2013. She loved computers since the age of three when her father showed her how to put them together, as well as how to use them. It was her junior year in high school when her love for digital art began thanks to her multimedia class. It was at that time that she discovered her love for illustration and design. Kanika is currently majoring in Design and Visual Communications at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
When Kanika isn’t taking out time to design, she’s baking some type of savory treat, or cooking up a delectable dish. She also has a strong love for music and singing it is something she does a lot of in her free time.
Design Team
Jason Stroeh is a UWM professor in the Art and Design Program. It was Jason’s job to help Kanika with any app problems or questions that she may have come across.

Description
Swiftlete is a bussing service that provides transportation for athletes to and from practice. Swiftlete is accompanied by an app that helps to track the buses and their arrival times, as well as alert notifications. There’s both an athlete and parent part of the app so that the parents can track the buses and their children as well.
