Bio

Since I was young I’ve had a passion for design and all things art. I believe that having a passion so young truly sets you up for good things to come. Having a passion so young also means having spent quality time practicing and learning new skills. And much like an artwork never really being finished, I too take pride in constantly learning and evolving as a designer. Throughout my journey as a designer in university I have developed a rigorous work schedule and have strong time management skills. I take pride in reaching deadlines and must always be 100% satisfied with the project at hand and will continue to work on it until so. My outgoing personality not only add to my skills as a graphic designer, it amplifies them. Others see me as a good team player, social-able, diligent, and over-all, a very understanding and creative minded person.

Description

Chomba is a foreign language app that teaches Korean to elementary school aged students. Schools can partner with Chomba and have a specified class slot to teach Korean without needing another teacher. Elementary school is a pivotal time for foreign language acquisition. It’s the time when children are the most absorbent to new information, so by starting early schools can get the most out of teaching a foreign language. This language can then be built upon in middle school and high schools when these types of opportunities typically become available. The Chomba app takes a different approach to most foreign language learning systems and that’s using games to teach the children while also causing them to want to come back and play again. There are also various in class rewards for doing good on the games and other incentives for the users.

Mission

The fear of the unknown and the hurtful prejudices against new or unfamiliar ideas is a problem that Chomba is trying to solve one child at a time. Different cultures bring people together and everyone needs to cherish their individual differences.

Vision

The vision for our company here at Chomba is the hope that in the future there will be no need for a spark to ignite the interest in language learning for American students, that generations after us will realize the beauty in other cultures and embrace them for all the wisdom they bring. But until that day arrives, Chomba will happily act as that spark.
