    Jerry Rousseau

Jerrold “Jerry” B. Rousseau, MSSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with a BA in communication arts (1970) and an MSSW (1981) both from UW – Madison.

He has been a provider of mental health services since 1970 with 12 years of clinical staff experience with the inpatient psychiatric programs at two hospitals in Madison (1970 – 1982). Jerry has maintained a private psychotherapy practice in Milwaukee since 1982.

He is an emeritus clinical associate social work professor with UWM's Helen Bader School of Social Welfare in the Social Work Field Education Department. In that role, he arranged and oversaw clinical internships for graduate students who wanted to go into the practice areas of mental health and substance abuse assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.

"I enjoy being a member of the UWM BOV Legislative Advocacy Committee and the UWM BOV Community Communication and Outreach Committee because I am able to advocate on behalf of the needs of UWM and serve as a bridge between the university and the community, promoting awareness and understanding of its contributions to education, research, economic development, and cultural life."
