We are nearly two months beyond the launch of Workday at UWM and other Universities of Wisconsin campuses. As we prepare to kick off the fall semester, please find links to several key Workday resources below.
Workday Websites
Access Workday to find your homepage, adjust any personal information, see your recent paychecks and find training.
The UWs Workday website — wisconsin.edu/workday — is the central place for resources and getting help with any Workday-related issues. Use the “I AM A” menu at the top to search for topics related to you as an employee at a UW campus.
- Get Help: A one-stop shop to get help via chatbot, documents or by filling out a ticket for support.
- Job Aid Library: Find how-to videos, documentation and explanations for hundreds of tasks, organized by employee type and topic.
Time and Absence
Here are several webpages to help you get familiar with managing your time in Workday.
- Entering Time
- Requesting Time Off (Absence)
- Reporting No Leave Taken
- For Managers: Time and Absence Dashboard
Paychecks and Pay Changes
In Workday, paychecks are called payslips. They’re available to view the Monday before payday.
- How to view and print your payslip
- Review compensation or pay changes
- Set up direct deposit (also called payment elections)
Benefits
If you are a benefits-eligible employee, you will find an overview of your current benefits costs and details in the Workday Benefits and Pay Hub. Access an overview video of the Benefits and Pay Hub.
To make changes to your insurance benefits, or to enroll if you are a newly hired or newly eligible employee, you will use My Insurance Benefits, part of the new My Benefits portal provided by the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF). The portal is accessed via Workday.
My Insurance Benefits provides secure access to insurance information provided by ETF. In the portal you can:
- View detailed information about your benefits enrollments (health, life, disability and spending accounts).
- Review and update dependent information.
- Make changes to your benefits.
Find out how to set up an account in My Benefits at this webpage.
If you have questions, contact UWM benefits at benefits@uwm.edu.
Expenses
Workday offers an overview of information related to expenses, which can be found in your Expenses Hub. Visit the Expenses Hub Overview page, which includes a video.
