The goal of this project is not to take space away from departments, and rather to assess campus space to assure access to adequate resources for optimal use. Enrollment numbers and programs change over time, requiring adjustments space. This project will identify space constraints and opportunities to accommodate changing needs. It will also correlate space needs with the cost of operating space. Through a collaborative process involving stakeholders across campus, the project team will identify space use recommendations based on program/pedagogical/research needs, student enrollment, faculty/staff counts, building operational costs, building conditions, space needs, strategic plans, and budget.
