Universities of Wisconsin Presidential Search Listening Session

The Universities of Wisconsin Presidential Search and Screen Committee will host a listening session at UWM to solicit feedback from public and university stakeholders as it launches the search for the next Universities of Wisconsin president. Feedback gathered will help shape the presidential search process. 

The session is open to the public and will provide an opportunity for attendees to share their perspectives directly with the search committee. Members of the public can also view the sessions virtually and submit comments and ideas through an online form. Members of the public can attend the sessions in-person or virtually, and those who are unable to participate can share their comments and ideas through the online intake form.

Members of the public, students, faculty and staff will have additional opportunities to provide input on the search process, including at public forums featuring finalists. Parking: Visitors are encouraged to park at The Avenue, 613 N Plankinton Ave. It’s a secure garage connected to the Plankinton Building, home to the UWM School of Continuing Education. Access the entrance on Plankinton Avenue between Wisconsin Avenue and Michigan Street.  

Please keep your printed parking voucher after entering the structure, as it is required for re-entry into the secured garage.

Conference Center Directions: The conference center is on the 7th floor of the Plankinton Building and can only be accessed via elevators on the north side of the building. 

To help ensure a smooth arrival, please use the following landmarks: 

• From the 1st Floor (Wisconsin Ave. lobby): The elevators are between TJ Maxx and Foot Locker. If you can see both storefronts, you are in the correct location. 

• From the 2nd Floor: The appropriate elevators are located next to the ladybug mural. 

Directional signage also is posted throughout the complex to guide guests to the correct elevators.
