HSI Day of Engagement: Dr. Gina Garcia

As part of the Chancellor’s Committee for Hispanic Serving Initiatives, Dr. Gina Garcia deliver a keynote address focused on equity and justice in higher education, with an emphasis on understanding how HSIs embrace and enact an organizational identity for serving minoritized populations.

Garcia is a leading scholar on Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) and a professor in the Department of Educational Foundations, Organizations, and Policy at the University of Pittsburgh.

She will give her keynote from 9-10:30 a.m., and workshop from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center’s atrium. There is a virtual option via Zoom for the keynote address.
