Choosing A First Year Seminar

Fulfill General Education Requirements

All students planning to graduate from the College of Letters & Science must fulfill General Education Requirements. These requirements include two major categories: competency and distribution.Distribution requirements are designed to provide students with a broad body of knowledge in the arts, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences.

All First Year Seminars count towards satisfying distribution requirements in either Humanities, Natural Sciences or Social Sciences, offering students the opportunity to study a subject of interest while also fulfilling academic requirements.
