C. Tova Markenson

Dr. C. Tova Markenson is a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Research on Antisemitism at Technische Universität Berlin. She is currently completing a book manuscript on performance, gender, and migration vis-à-vis the histories of Jewish sex workers who migrated from Europe to Argentina (1870–1940). Her research has been recognized by organizations such as the American Society for Theatre Research, the Latin American Jewish Studies Association, the American Academy for Jewish Research, and the Sexualities Project at Northwestern. Her writing has been published in Modern Drama, Theatre Journal, and In geveb and is forthcoming in Women and the Yiddish Stage.
