Special Assignment about underground press, footage of periodicals

Segment begins with silent footage of a handful of underground press periodicals, including The Seed, The Other, Los Angeles Free Press. Next cut is to a young white man sitting in his living room, smoking as he describes what an underground newspaper does – community news, analysis, artwork – and when the interviewer says “There is a political aspect to these,” the interviewee laughs and says “Of course.” Next interviewee is a harsh critic of underground press and argues that it is attributing to the moral decay of the country.
