Finding an internship that is globally-focused can be complex. To help UWM students navigate this process, the Global Studies Program has developed a list of organizations that offer globally-focused internships as well as a list of companies that facilitate international internship experiences. This list includes organizations with which Global Studies faculty and staff have specifically developed relationships and organizations that students have explored in the past. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Departmental faculty and staff may know of other opportunities that are periodically but not consistently available on campus or in the local area. Speak to your instructors and the undergraduate advisor for your major if that\u2019s something you\u2019d be interested in.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are not required to intern with an organization appearing on this list. Students are strongly encouraged to conduct their own research to determine what internships and organizations will work best for them.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

UWM and its Global Studies Program is not responsible for arranging the internship contract between students and the organizations with which they are going to intern. UWM also is not responsible for and does not control the acts of any outside entity listed below and does not screen outside entities for compliance with particular legal standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intern abroad in Singapore! Global Studies recently enjoyed site visits with global internship providers CIEE<\/a> and AIP.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the heart of Southeast Asia, Singapore is a fascinating city-state with a rich history and incredible food scene. It\u2019s multi-cultural, multi-lingual, with English being one of Singapore\u2019s four official languages. It\u2019s a good choice for students interested in working on Chinese language skills. Singapore offers a diverse range of career sectors, especially in industries and services like manufacturing, banking, tourism, insurance, and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Georgia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

SRAS, https:\/\/sras.org\/<\/a><\/strong> is a study abroad provider specializing in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus. This provider can also help arrange internships for students in these locations-ideal for students interested in studying and practicing their Russian language skills, <\/strong>among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are amazing opportunities in Tbilisi, a city at the crossroads of east and west, rich in culture and delicious cuisine, situated in a country with a fascinating history, Russian influence, and enormous natural beauty-a great choice for outdoor lovers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CEA\/CAPA<\/a> has been a partner with UWM and a leader in the study abroad and internship space for years. On a recent visit, we toured one of their many internship site placements in Paris, none other than the offices of the Financial Times, a London based, Japanese owned leading publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Absolute Internship<\/a> Virtual and in-person internship opportunities in cities across Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U.S. Commercial Servic<\/a>e<\/a>: The mission of the U.S. Commercial Service is to create prosperity by strengthening the international competitiveness of U.S. industry, promoting trade and investment, and ensuring fair trade and compliance with trade laws and agreements around the world. The U.S. Commercial Service hosts interns worldwide, including in Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
