When to Declare a Portuguese Minor

Process to Declare the Minor

  1. The first step to declare a minor in Portuguese is to fill out and submit the Declaration of Minor Form.
  1. Next, you are encouraged to contact the Undergraduate Advisor, Professor Susana Antunes, by email: antunes@uwm.edu to set up an advising appointment. At that meeting, the advisor will be able to answer your preliminary questions about the Portuguese Minor. You, in turn, will be asked about your background, your current interests, and your long-range plans.

Requirements for the Portuguese Minor

The Minor in Portuguese consists of 18 credits including Portuguese 203, Portuguese 204 languages courses (3rd and 4th semester). Nine credits must be taken at the 300 level or above.
