I’m First

I’m First offers a brave space for First Gen Women-identified College Students at UWM to share their unique cultural experiences with other members of the campus community. I’m First will center first-gen women’s student experiences while also providing space to discuss the diverse and complex identities of the first-gen community at UWM. Women-identified First-Gen community and campus leaders will facilitate a cooperative learning experience for attendees through small discussion/”healing” circles. This program aims to help build relationships, share communal narratives, and develop tools for support, success, and self-care.
