“I Believe You:” A Healing Circle by Survivors for Survivors

April 7, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

To combat campus sexual violence, and in celebration of National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Sociocultural Programming and the Women’s Resource Center invite survivors, loved ones, and supporters to contribute their stories to the UW-Milwaukee Monument Quilt. These stories, written and painted onto bold, red squares, will be displayed at the end of the month in the Union Concourse during Denim Day. In addition to the creation of this quilt, participants are invited to learn more about the history of Denim Day and both community and campus resources that are here to remind you that you are not alone.

For more information, please contact Michaela Murry, Sociocultural Programming, at sociocul@uwm.edu or 414-229-3894.

Sponsored by Sociocultural Programming, the Women’s Resource center, TeamTeal365, Norris Peer Health Educators, and the LGBT Resource Center.
