Resources Available at the WRC:

  • Safe Sex supplies: condoms, lubricant, dental dams (while supplies last), and information on safe sex practices and community resources.
  • Menstrual Hygiene products: pads, tampons, and some soft cups available courtesy of donations made to the WRC


UWM Lactation Program

  • The WRC oversees the lactation room in the Union (WG26). This lactation room is locked when not in use and can be accessed by stopping by the WRC (Monday – Friday 9 to 5) or the Union Info desk outside of those hours for the key.

The mission of the Collective is to increase engagement and leadership among women of color to transform systems and policies in ways that remove intersecting barriers to good health outcomes. Our overall goal is for women of color to hold leadership positions that allow them to fully participate in analysis and decisions related to reproductive justice.

The Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) has provided quality business and financial education coupled with access to fair capital and financial products for more than 25 years. WWBIC’s impact is seen through the many entrepreneurs, business owners and individual whom we assist. Our work and support put your business dreams to work.Every day we are inspired to improve the economic well-being of our fellow residents through business loans, classes, coaching and money management tools. While we care about everyone, we focus our efforts on women, low-income and people of color.

The Milwaukee LGBT Community Center is dedicated to serving the needs of LGBTQ people and to making the Greater Milwaukee area safer and more inclusive. We focus our programming around anti-violence, healthy relationships, counseling, and financial coaching. Our Center’s resources include a lending library with over 2000 LGBT titles, meeting space for over 100 groups during the year, computer/internet access and referrals.

Founded in 1980, the Milwaukee Women’s Center provides comprehensive services and treatment for women, men, and children whose lives have been affected by domestic violence, addiction, mental health issues, and poverty.

Our mission is to offer sexual abuse survivors and their loved ones opportunities for healing by providing support, advocacy and community education.Our vision allows us to create a model sexual trauma service agency committed to providing integrative and holistic services to adult survivors. We embody the best practices of scholarship, experience and, most importantly, survivor wisdom. We operate from a philosophy of abundance, inviting all to share their gifts as part of healing our community. We believe healing is possible for everyone. Our primary goals are to ensure the safety of victims of family violence and provide a pathway out of violence for victims and abusers through opportunities to make positive and lasting changes for themselves and their children.

At Diverse & Resilient, we see a future where lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in Wisconsin thrive, living healthy, satisfying lives in safe, supportive communities. Our long-term objective is to eliminate health disparities between LGBT people and the general population, as measured by commonly accepted indicators of physical and mental health.
