The WRC coordinates the Ambassador Program, which allows students to develop professional and leadership skills, connect with the WRC and other students on campus, and learn more about how to apply feminism to their everyday lives!
The Ambassador Program is a 6-week long program that meets in the Fall and Spring semesters.

Are you looking to learn more about feminism? Are you looking to practice feminism with the UWM Women’s Resource Center? Join us this semester for the Ambassador Program, a six week long experience-based learning program that will help students learn more about the nuances of feminist conversations.
This semester will focus on conversations surrounding “Feminists in the Workplace”.
Participating students will participate in conversations regarding debunking the gender wage gap, resume workshops, panels with feminists in the workplace and interview preparations.
Update
The Ambassador Program will now be a “lunchtime conversation series” in-person on Thursdays from 12pm to 12:30pm in the Women’s Resource Center (Union WG93). These sessions will be experience-based discussions guided by feminism.
Dates and Topics Include:
- October 21st “Feminism 101”
- October 28th – “Debunking the Wage Gap”
- November 4th – “Women in the Workplace”
- November 11th – “Brag About Yourself!”
- November 18th – “Networking Event”
For each conversation you attend there will also be a WRC themed prize handed out at the end of the discussion! The first meeting’s prize is a WRC mug! Attend more than 3 and you will have a chance to receive a WRC tshirt as well. I hope to see you for one or more of these conversations in the center. This is not an event you have to sign up, so please stop in when you can, bring a friend, and let’s continue to grow as feminists side by side.
