Have you wanted to try your hand at ceramics? Are you curious about wood-fired kilns? Are you interested in tapping into your creative spirit? Join us at the Field Station this fall for an Earthenware ceramics course! This quick paced, explorative ceramics course will focus on creating layers of rich surfaces using slips, stamps, stencils, and decals on earthenware clay. Artists will have the opportunity to fire their pieces in the bourry style wood kiln with soda to cone 1. Clay will be available to purchase in class from instructor. Students are asked to bring their own clay sculpting tools.

Class meets weekly: Wed 5 – 8 pm, Sep 11 – Nov 27
