2021 Distinguished Lecture: Writing When America is Trying to Destroy You

Writers Derrick Harriell and Kiese Laymon will spend an evening in conversation and investigate the ways in which writing has been a tool of catharsis and survival when the world around them was burning.In addition to discussing historical and contemporary traumas, these writers will share work from their most recent creative works. A brief Q and A will follow their conversation.
