Noah, a Junior Pursuing Marketing, Shares What He Likes Most About UWM at Washington County
“Both of my parents started at UWM at Washington County and my dad finished his degree at UW-Milwaukee, my mom at Marian University. They suggested I check out UWM at Washington County. At first I wasn’t so sure, but when I came to campus, it seemed like a nice fit. I appreciate the small class sizes. It’s not as overwhelming a transition as it might be from high school to a huge university.
“Another reason I chose UWM at Washington County is all the work-study opportunities. I work part time in the Solutions Center on campus. It’s a great, all-around college resource for students. I’m the guy at the front desk. Not everybody knows my name, but they all know my face. Washington County campus is a community where you won’t get lost in the crowd, and I really like the atmosphere of the campus.
“I came to UWM at Washington County with a few college-level credits from high school. Right now, I’m doing an internship with GenoPalate, a startup company that customizes nutrition plans based on client genetics. I’m really interested in entrepreneurship, so when I’m done at this campus, I’m planning to transfer to UWM’s Lubar School of Business.”
