Clark Evans

Prof. Clark Evans is an expert in weather analysis and forecasting, including but not limited to tropical cyclones (tropical storms, hurricanes, etc.) and severe thunderstorms. He is well-versed in Wisconsin’s wild weather and can speak to the effects of our changing climate on local and regional weather patterns.

 

Professionally, he serves as a Commissioner of the American Meteorological Society’s Science and Technological Activities Commission, an Editor for the Monthly Weather Review professional journal, and a member of the Developmental Testbed Center’s Science Advisory Board. He joined UWM’s faculty in 2011 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship with the Advanced Study Program at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, CO. He received BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Meteorology from Florida State University in 2004, 2006, and 2009, respectively.
