The Club of the Year award will recognize a Sport Club that achieves at a high level throughout the entire academic year. Competitive success, leadership, club development, fundraising, and communication will all be metrics. The Club’s alignment with University Recreation’s core values of Inclusion, Personal Growth, Enjoyment, Sportsmanship, Health, and Sustainability will also be considered. The winning Club will be recognized with a permanent award in the Klotsche Center trophy case and a $500 award towards the next fiscal year budget.

• Milwaukee Bowling Club 2017-2018
• Milwaukee Paintball Club 2018-2019

The Officer of the Year award will be given to the Club Officer who has most dedicated themselves to the benefit of their club. This award will be given based on nominations by the members of the club, and then the Sport Clubs Staff will choose a winner from the nominations. Once decided the winning President will be announced at the Sport Clubs Banquet. The winning Club will be recognized with a permanent award in the Klotsche Center trophy case and a $250 award towards the next fiscal year budget.

• Holly Mayek – Milwaukee Water Ski Club 2016-2017
• Jacob Hanson – Milwaukee Men’s Lacrosse Club 2017-2018
• Savannah Gardner – Milwaukee Softball Club 2018-2019

This award will be given to the team that has demonstrated great improvement over the year(s). This will be determined through a comparison of how your team was organized and responsible with club logistics (paperwork, permission forms, budget etc.) and how they improved at tournaments (more titles, better ranking, etc.). The winning Club will be recognized with a permanent award in the Klotsche Center trophy case and a $250 award towards the next fiscal year budget.

• Milwaukee Hockey Club 2017-2018
• Milwaukee Women’s Rugby Club 2018-2019

This award will be given to the Club with the highest average GPA (through the Fall semester) across their membership. Each member must be on the official team roster to be considered for the award. The winning Club will be recognized with a permanent award in the Klotsche Center trophy case and a $500 award towards the next fiscal year budget.

• Milwaukee Triathlon Club 2016-2017
• Milwaukee Bowling Club 2017-2018
• Milwaukee Hockey Club 2018-2019

Any Sport Club that has joined the program over the last two years is eligible to win this award. Competitive record, membership, outreach, compliance, fundraising, and other relevant metrics will be considered.  The winning Club will be recognized with a permanent award in the Klotsche Center trophy case and a $250 award towards the next fiscal year budget.

• Milwaukee Power Lifting Club 2017-2018
• Milwaukee Softball Club 2018-2019

The Best Uniform will be awarded to the team with the best and most unique jerseys! This may be a home or away jersey, but must be the most recent uniform that your team has worn. Send pictures along with a short statement of why your team should win this award. The winning team will get to place their uniform in a Klotsche Center display case and a $250 award towards the next fiscal year budget.
