Memberships

Membership Updates:

Update for Fall 2020: University Recreation (UREC) will be opening the Klotsche Center and Pavilion on Monday, August 31 with an emphasis on serving the current students, faculty, and staff of UWM. Due to COVID-19 pandemic related restrictions on campus, access to the facilities for UREC services will be limited to students who have been assessed segregated fees for the fall 2020 semester and current (not retired) faculty and staff who purchase a membership (visit https://uwm.edu/urec/facilities/membership/ for more information). All other membership options, including Community, Sustaining Alumni, Recent Graduate, Auditor, and all spouse/partner memberships, will not be available at this time. Guest passes will also not be available.

The status of the COVID-19 pandemic situation on campus and its impact on UREC facilities will be evaluated at the end of September. At that time, a decision will be made regarding whether additional membership options will be added, or the current restrictions extended.

The Klotsche Center and Pavilion isn’t like other facilities where cardiovascular, weight machines and barbells are the only things offered as it’s related to wellness.  University Recreation offers so much more adding to your personal membership experience.

UREC prides ourselves by maximizing the use of facility space by providing a variety of services and programs where you can focus on what you need for a holistic wellness experience.  With your membership you have access to a variety of services including personal training, swim lessons and Group X classes specifically tailored to your own desires.  We offer a wide variety of fun, safe and effective classes to meet the needs of our participants. With over 50 classes offered per week during the fall & spring semesters, we have something for everyone! Choose from classes such as Core Crunch, Guts & Butts, Boot Camp, Zumba, Kickbox Blast, Group Strength, and Group Cycle.

Memberships with UREC also include access to the pool, racquetball, basketball and volleyball courts and an elevated track to meet your open recreation needs.  When you purchase a membership with UREC, you are getting more than just a place to go work out.  You are getting a whole community of people like you, people who want a place that they can call their own.
