Admissions Counselor: Payton Beverly

I went to UW-Stevens Point for my undergraduate, majoring in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. Upon graduation, I pursued a position at Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Advisor. I was introduced to the opportunity through an internship prior to going full-time. Running my own financial practice was rewarding, impacting lives, and educating friends, family, and the community about financial literacy and generational wealth.

Recently, I made a transition from corporate finance to higher education as an admissions counselor! This was an opportunity that I jumped at immediately. While being a student a UW-Stevens Point, I began my journey in admissions as a campus ambassador.

 I am a firm believer in full-circle experiences while paying it forward to the community and ones that supported me. From the beginning of my college career to now working in higher education, I have been blessed to be surrounded by a multitude of supports and now it is my duty to assist the prospective students that we serve!

As an admission counselor, I serve first-year students who attend high school in the city of Milwaukee and surrounding areas. I look forward to sustaining relationships with high schools’ staff and students through this journey in their young professional lives.
