The Planning for the Future Summer Reading and Writing Program at UWM is an intense four-week program. Students will experience skill-building and enrichment levels based on academic grades and grade level. The goal of the program is to equip students with the tools needed to develop effective math, english and science (SMART) skills needed to prepare them for the upcoming school year.
Program also includes:
- Life Skills and Leadership Workshops
- Majors and Careers Exploration
- Guest Speaker Presentations
- Campus Tours, Field Trips and Social Activities
- Positive and Supportive Learning Environment
Eligibility
In order to participate in the Planning for the Future Summer Program students should be:
- Interested in developing academic, leadership and social skills
- In 6th-8th grade
- Mature and Responsible
- Willingness to attend entire program year

Policies and Fees
DPI Scholarships are available. In order to be eligible for the DPI scholarship students will have to be eligible for free or reduced price lunch.
